Big time Rapper Akon has three wives! He made the startling revelation that he practices polygamy and currently has THREE concubines; one African and two Americans. "I'm a polygamist," Akon said. "I can afford to have as many wives as I can afford to have. All Africans believe in it. My dad has four wives."

The Senegalese star made the revelation on American DJ Angie Martinez's New York radio show. The rapper insisted that under the teachings of the Koran, all wives must be treated equally; which Akon insists he does.

But the Atlanta, Georgia-based star's confession has forced his label, Universal to issue him a gag order, fearing talking about his home life will incite a backlash and in all probability decrease the rapper's CD sales and marketability.

But the announcement has not seemed to negatively impact Akon’s popularity. The homies at Thug Laws polled one thousand shortys and over seventy percent said they’d get with Akon. Roughly twenty percent said they become one of his next wives. Hearing that the rapper already has three wives didn’t stop any of these hip hop honeys!
